                           CURRICULUM
Our curriculum adheres to the NYS Standards which identify what students need to know (content and concepts) and shows what they should be able to do (skills and processes).
Mt. Carmel School incorporates these standards with the New York Archdiocesan Essential of Learnings which is sequenced with grade level expectations.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  •  Mt. Carmel School believes that parents and the family are the first and most important teachers in the life of every child.
  • MtC believes that the partnership between the parent and the school is a sacred trust and that both share in this responsibility of caring and encouraging each child to reach his or her full potential.
  • We believe that children are naturally active learners and our program provides opportunities for full participation in the learning environment.
  • We believe that a guided and nurturing atmosphere will promote knowledge and skills in social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and physical developmental areas.
  • Mt. Carmel School fosters Catholic Values and Traditions and reinforces the School, Church, and Home connection.
